Why Choose Us

There are many benefits to choosing a smaller company to get your CPR training

American Heart Association
Certified Instructors

AHA is the source of the research and guidelines that both (AHA and Red Cross) organizations follow.

Focus: As instructors it is our job to empower communities to prevent and respond to cardiovascular emergencies (heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke) by teaching CPR and First Aid trainings. Heavily geared toward healthcare and clinical professionals. (BLS, Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)
Curriculum: Emphasizes evidence-based guidelines and may offer more detailed instruction on topics like advanced airway management.
Certification: eCards are valid for two years for most courses.
Acceptance: Often preferred by hospitals and healthcare systems.

Traveling Company

We serve the greater Houston area, we travel to come to your place of business or home.

Greater flexibility: Trainings can be scheduled at most times of the day, allowing for early or evening classes.
Cost-effectiveness: Reduces expenses associated with traditional travel for employees and employee time away from work.
Increased efficiency: The entire training process is faster, as it eliminates waiting periods for scheduled classes.
Increased productivity: Less time away from work allows employees to complete tasks more accurately and efficiently without disrupting their workflow.
Personalized and flexible learning: Employees can focus on learning at the proper time and focus on the tasks or deadlines during typical hours.
Reduced training fatigue: Removing traveling from employees results in less stress, more focused content helps prevent information overload and training burnout.

Small class sizes

While we can handle larger classes, most classes are taught with a 1 to 5 ratio. Making every class tailored to your needs.

Personalized Attention: Instructors devote more time to each student, understanding their unique learning styles, strengths, and weaknesses to provide tailored support and enrichment.
Increased Engagement: Students can participate in discussions and can ask all the questions they may have.
Greater Focus: With fewer distractions, students can better concentrate on the material, leading to deeper comprehension and better retention of knowledge.

Our work in numbers

We have worked tirelessly over the years to share our passion for CPR education. Our involvement in the greater Houston area can be measured in stats, but the real impact is the knowledge gained

Our Story

The goal of Upbeat CPR is to make a potentially dreaded class an enjoyable experience, with our instructors teaching CPR in a positive, fun, and enjoyable way.

The Long family were foster parents for over 15 years. Before placement of a child in your home, one of the requirements is to be CPR certified. That was usually the last thing to do to get completely certified to be a foster parent. That class was a dreaded class. Nobody enjoyed it! After retiring from foster parenting Susie, decided to go work for an agency as a CPR instructor. She eventually decided to start her own CPR business in 2004 to make learning fun and upbeat.

A few things we’re great at

Our service to the community goes beyond education. We strive to have a real impact in volunteer organizations and social awareness issues

Ainsley’s Angels in Texas

Ainsley’s Angels is a nationwide nonprofit organization that pairs able-bodied runners with people who have disabilities, allowing them to experience the excitement of participating in endurance events. The organization was founded in honor of Ainsley Rossiter, a young girl with a rare, terminal illness who found immense joy while riding in a running chair.

Community Fairs

The community booth serves as a highly visible educational tool, transforming complex medical knowledge into an accessible, five-minute lesson that can empower community members to save a life in an emergency. These interactive stations offer quick, hands-on demonstrations of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). We provide hands-on practice with mannequins to allow attendees to practice chest compressions and rescue breaths. Some try their hand at removing an object from ‘Choking Charlie’.

Scouting America

Scouting America is the new name for the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), an organization founded in 1910 that is one of the largest and most prominent youth organizations in the U.S.. The name change officially went into effect on February 8, 2025, to reflect the organization’s move toward inclusivity by opening its programs to girls.

Scouting America

The Girl Scouts of the USA is a youth organization founded in 1912 with a mission to build girls of “courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place”. The organization provides a wide variety of activities designed to help girls in kindergarten through 12th grade develop leadership skills, strong values, and a sense of community.

Sarah Day

As always thank you to UPBEAT CPR for renewing our CPR and First Aid Certifications tonight and teaching our new/returning providers ❤️! We love our little learners and always want to keep them safe!

Sandra’s Little Learners

I couldn’t be more impressed with Suzie Long and UPBEAT CPR. I was looking for a First Aid and CPR class for my kids and for $50 per child she came to our house. My kids were engaged the entire time, she made them feel comfortable enough to ask questions and they were so proud their new VERY IMPORTANT LIFESAVING skills, they talked about it all night.
